This Privacy Policy explains how NEZDEK INC. (“NEZDEK”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a corporation incorporated under the federal laws of Canada and operating from Calgary, Alberta, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit nezdek.com (the “Site”) or use our services.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you fill out a form, book a call, email us, or become a client, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address, and any information you choose to share about your project. If you become a client, we also handle the content you provide for your project, such as text, images, and business information (“Client Content”).
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the Site is used. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the Site. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for this purpose. You can control cookies through your browser settings; parts of the Site may not function properly without them.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Square. We do not store your full credit card number on our systems. Square’s handling of your payment information is governed by Square’s own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to provide and manage our services, respond to inquiries, communicate about projects and billing, operate and improve the Site, send marketing communications where we have your consent, and comply with legal obligations.
Marketing emails
In accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we only send marketing emails where we have your express or implied consent. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by using that link or emailing us at hello@nezdek.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect emails we need to send about your active projects or billing.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our hosting providers, Square for payments, Google for analytics, and Microsoft for email and appointment booking, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their services. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Where information is stored
We operate from Canada. Some of our service providers may store or process information on servers located in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where that happens, the information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Client project data
Client Content belongs to the client. We use it only to deliver the services, and we return or delete it on written request following the end of an engagement, subject to any records we are required to keep.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, to maintain business records, and to meet legal requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information, including secure hosting, access controls, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to its use. To make a request, email hello@nezdek.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention, such as a notice on the Site or an email. Your continued use of the Site or our services after an update takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
