Rani's Rasoi Ordering App
A frozen-food ordering app for a Calgary favourite, backed by an e-commerce platform we build and manage.
Who they are
Rani's Rasoi brings home-style Indian cuisine to busy Calgary households through gourmet frozen meals: food made properly, frozen fresh, and delivered to the door. It is the kind of business built on repeat customers, because once a family finds a dish they love, they order it again and again.
That loyalty was exactly the problem. Repeat orders were arriving through phone calls, texts and social media messages, and every one of them had to be handled by hand.
What was in the way
A growing food business cannot scale on DMs. Menus change with the season, orders need delivery windows, and customers want to reorder their favourites in seconds, not retype them into a message. Rani's Rasoi needed ordering to feel as effortless as the food, and the kitchen needed orders to arrive clean, complete and organized.
How we tackled it
Our thinking
We designed the app around the person who orders every other week. Browsing had to make the food look as good as it tastes, so the menu is built around appetizing photography and fast scanning. Checkout remembers who you are. Reordering a favourite takes a few taps from the moment the app opens.
Behind the screen we built the machinery: menu management the owner can update anytime, an order pipeline that reaches the kitchen with everything the team needs, integrated payments, and delivery scheduling. The app runs alongside the e-commerce site we built at ranisrasoi.ca, so web and app orders flow through one system. NEZDEK manages all of it, month after month.
